RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY...PLEASE COME BACK SOME OTHER DAY!
I can't believe that it's been 1 1/2 months since my last blog entry...WOW!! I guess I have been quite the blog slacker.
Today couldn't be a better day to create an entry. Let's see, the kiddos are on summer break and the weather has been the pits. If you live in the NorthEast or Massachusetts, you definitely know what I'm talking about, right? In the last 27 days the score is 24-3, the cloudy rainy days are winning over the sunny beautiful ones. And to boot the temp has been in the 60's almost this whole time. On a positive note, my electric bill is quite a bit less than this time last year, i.e. no need for ac or lots of fans.
But, ENOUGH already!!! My kids would like to enjoy their summer: go swimming, go to a park, just BE outside! They are tired of playing in the basement while I fiddle around on the computer. *sigh*
So, as a tribute to this dreadful weather, I decided to find some fun whimsical things on my favorite site ETSY to share with you today. ENJOY!! And for those of you in Massachusetts stay dry!

Well Katie, I live far away from Massachusetts, in a small warm country called Isreal, and here, today, was one of the warmest days in the season..!
ReplyDeleteI could only wish for some rain!
I wish I could bring you and your daughters some sun in exchange for some rain :)
But since we can't do that.. I can only wish you sunny days and many smiles!
And in the meanwhile..try singing in the rain:)
Thank you so much for featuring my "singing in the rain" art print!
All the best,
Meytal.
Being that I am in Oregon - land of the rain - I usually am feeling the same pain, but this year it's been so hot the kids don't want to go outside! So, I guess if it's not one thing it's the other! I will send sunny thoughts your way and maybe we can meet somewhere in the middle!

Very cute! It's been raining here a lot lately. Almost every day! It keeps it from being unbearably hot so I'm not complaining.
ReplyDeleteAfter a very dry summer, we're finally getting some rain here in Maryland. Of course, now the weeds are thriving and it's raining too much to go pull them! Just can't win, I guess :)
